It's Your Time
"Today is your opportunity to build the tomorrow you want!"
- Ken Poirot, author
Growth is not the end of your journey, but just the beginning.
This is the last article in our year-long series on the fundamental steps to transformational growth. If you are new to our blog, I encourage you to read through the previous articles in this series. If you started with us at the beginning of this journey, you understand that the journey is long, difficult, and faced with challenges. That's not a ringing endorsement on growth. However, the good news is that you can navigate the difficulty of personal growth and in doing so, become the person you should be and that you deserve to be. Success is not guaranteed in our lives. You must want it badly. You must realize that you can be the best version of yourself and the impact that it will have on your life. You've heard the saying that success is a journey, not a destination. It's true, success is not a perpetual achievement. Achieving success and personal growth is not the pinnacle of life. The journey you have taken to first achieve it is only the beginning. As personal growth is not a destination, you should prepare for a continuous and exciting journey in personal growth throughout your life. Each day. Each week. Each month. Each year you should strive to improve your personal growth. Transformational growth that will impact your life and those around you.

Again, if you've just joined our journey recently, we're going to dedicate this article to reviewing the essential steps we've outlined during this year-long series. If you missed any of these topics, search them out in our series section on our website. Here's a recap of the fundamental steps of transformational growth.

A New Beginning - It's inevitable that you will have endings in your life. New beginnings make it possible for fresh starts, making peace with your uncomfortable past, and learning from your experiences.

Welcome Change - We all know that without change, things stay the same and ultimately will stagnate and die. Embrace change and view it as an opportunity.

Empowering Mindset - Everything we do is about having the proper mindset. From the moment we wake up to the moment we go to bed. Do one thing EVERY DAY that scares you and soon you will have a growth mindset.

Lion Mentality - Taking mindset a step further, Lion Mentality is having no fear or hesitation in the pursuit of that which you wish to achieve. Do you wish to walk amongst the sheep or rise above with the lion? Be a lion; walk in confidence!

Having Vision - This is having something seen in an ecstatic dream that inspires the direction of your action to achieve goals. Be persistent in your efforts and stay focused on the outcome! Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to most people.

The Prepared Mind - Not to be confused with mindset, the prepared mind creates recognition within us to realize the conditions ahead of us and prompts us to engage our prepared thoughts into action.

The Inquisitive Mind - Having an inquisitive mind is having an intellectual curiosity. Successful people ask better questions, and they demand better answers. The better you become at this, the better informed you'll become and that leads to better decision making.

Setting Goals - Goals are simply the results that you desire and are committed to achieving within a specific period of time. Having a plan of action to realize your goals is key.

Exude Confidence - Confidence is feeling sure of your abilities. Having swagger is accepting your self-confidence and feeling self-assured with who you are.

The Empowerment of Discipline - Motivation is important and gets you going. However, it is discipline that keeps you growing! Discipline is not punishment but empowerment.

Commitment - It is a principle pledge of being dedicated to a cause. It's about being "all in" on effort and action to finish what you started.

Stay Focused - Staying focused is the ability to see your vision clearly. Improving focus takes time and effort in a world of distractions.

Making Sacrifices - Nothing great was ever accomplished without making sacrifices. It will be painful. Choose your sacrifices wisely and revel in your achievements!

Patience with the Process - A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Following a process is foundational in your journey to success. You must embrace it and trust it if you are to achieve greatness in your life.

No Fear - The threat of harm, real or imagined defines fear. It can be paralyzing if you are unable to overcome your fears. There is no other way forward than to face your fears head on and conquer them.

Managing Disruptions - We know that disruptions are inevitable and will come your way soon enough. Anticipate what could happen and begin to put together a plan to compensate for disruptions before the appear.

Control the Controllables - We are not always in control! If we focus on the things that we can control, we put ourselves in the best possible situation most of the time.

Stop Procrastinating - You don't have to be great to start, but you do have to start to become great! Contrary to the saying, good things don't come to those who wait. Those who wait get what's left over. Start now!

Stop Being Average - A feeling of security in what you're doing entrenches you in a comfort zone. Complacency is the enemy of being awesome!

Facing Adversity - Life is full of difficulties and misfortune. You must use adversity as an opportunity to build character. There is no education quite like adversity. If you choose to learn the lesson.

4th Quarter Mentality - We know we are entering the last quarter of the year and if we are to realize our goals we need to have a championship level of intensity, determination, and focus to finish on the winning side.

Making an Impact - You have the power of influence situations you encounter in life. You have the power of influence on other people you encounter in life. Never underestimate this power and the important difference you can make in every life you touch!

Taking Risks - Taking risks is an inescapable process if you wish to experience transformational growth. Risk is what can propel you from what you are today to what you want to become tomorrow.

The Power of Habits - Building habits for success is more challenging than you might think. Once you experience the pattern of change you create in building positive habits, you might just find that the good habits are as addictive as the bad ones.

Attitude of Gratitude - Having an attitude of gratitude is about expressing thankfulness and appreciation for all things in your life. Everyone has struggles in life. When you develop an attitude of gratitude the struggles end.

Personal Growth - Personal growth is the evolutionary process of developing our attitudes and skills in such a manner as to have a positive impact on our personality, beliefs, and outlook on life. To realize the opportunity for growth you must do whatever makes you uncomfortable.

The Gift - Our gift is a value within us. It is a blessing to be shared in hopes of impacting other's lives. The challenge is in discovering what your gift is.

Just imagine what your life will be like when you begin to see transformational growth! It's exciting to see what you can truly become by just following these essential steps we've outline in this series. Know that it won't be easy. In fact it may be more difficult than you can imagine. Don't fear this! You have the tools. You have the ability. It's your time, so seize your moment! The opportunity you have been waiting for could be right in front of you. Don't miss it!

It's your time now! Finish this year strong! Continue your transformational journey in the days, the weeks, the months and the years ahead! And most of all...

Be inspired! Inspire others!
